I have pitched this idea to two stations and both are interested in hosting the show about Central Arkansas real estate, so we have finally made a decision. We will air on Saturday mornings from 8:00 to 9:00 beginning the first or second week of August on 103.7 the Buzz. I am excited about the program and the opportunity to discuss what the Central Arkansas real estate outlook is all about, not what we hear on the national news. I know we have experienced a huge change in our market; however, we have adjusted and people are still out there buying and selling homes. It may take some education on how to get into a new home or how to get top dollar for your house, and this is the forum for those types of discussion. Give me some topics you would like to see discussed and let me know if you would like to advertise or promote your company. I am looking forward to hearing from you on the air!

New orders are picking up in Central Arkansas
July 11, 2008 · Leave a Comment
I am hearing some good news from around Central Arkansas this week, title companies and lenders are racking up new orders at a pace we have not seen in a while. Some folks are on pace to have the best month of the year. What has changed in the past 30 days? I wrote a while back that it appears that the real estate professionals have made the adjustment to the new market and I think that is proving to be true. It will be nice to have two good months in row and if the trend will hold, we can end the summer on a high note. What are your thoughts on the increase in business? Have you seen the change or is your segment of the market still hurting? Let me know your thoughts.
NOTE: it looks like the radio program I have been working on is actually going to become a reality! I hope you all will participate and let me know if you would like information about becoming a sponsor or advertiser.

YOU EITHER RIDE LIFE OR IT RIDES YOU!
July 9, 2008 · 1 Comment
Hey folks, sorry it has been a while since my last post, but took some time away to get energized. I read this small quote, “you either ride life or it rides you”, and I tried to apply it to my life and the real estate biz. Your mental attitude determines who is the rider and who is the horse! In the real estate “life” at this time, many folks are not the rider. We can’t let a change in the market dictate our attitude. There will always be good days and bad days in our lives. Rejoice when you have a great day and feel like you are on top of the world. Remember that feeling when the bad days come around, and use those memories to take the extra amount of positive thinking it takes to get back up.
Don’t let the market ride you, get up off the ground and take control of your life and business.
