I guess we know what the topic of conversation will be on the Real Estate Show tomorrow morning, 8 to 9 on 103.7 FM. It most likely will the the topic of discussion at every coffee shop, diner and watering hole across the country for several weeks to come. We will do our best to get our hands around this bill to determine how it will effect each of us in the real estate biz. ok..I’m on my soap box!! Seriously, I’m so tired of the panic..bail out..smail out..market..schmarket!!!! This country can survive anything..face it..when the market is down ..portfolios are down..when the market is up..portfolios are up..we’re not in a great depression.. (which by the way we learned a great deal from) ..whether the bill passed or not..we would’ve bounced back..us folks in this great democracy will always live our lives outside of our budgets..but we know when to tighten up..Is the bail out a good thing or a bad thing?…I’m not sure at this point..but, whatever happens..we can handle it…and I will again bash the media for being the “bacteria” that they are..but they can’t help themselves..they love to give worry..and those who are none the wiser are the ones who are in a panic..I’ve lost more sleep worrying about what shoes I’m going to wear the next day!

Here’s my observation: I saw some polls (not that I put a lot of stock in polls) that said 80% of Americans opposed the “bailout” (aka socialism). Looks like irrefutable evidence that Washington elites think they know what’s best for us and will vote accordingly, even if it’s overwhelmingly not what the public wants. Amazing…will be listening! Thanks.
